This blog will explore a variety of ideas, selected at random along the lines of science, politics and theology - the really important things that affect our lives whether recognize those forces or not. The roots of science attempt to explain how we arrived, politics cover what we should do corporately now that we are here, and theology explores why we are here and where we are ultimately going.
This is also an experiment - a decision at this point in time to journal thoughts, explore ideas and express opinions that may be trivial or inconsequential today, otherwise soon forgotten tomorrow, but by their nature, be valuable to my children some day. Others will leave picture albums, letters, journals, or other physical artifacts to their descendants; my experiment is to leave the ether of thought to them in much the same form it exists now - "out there" in the ether of the internet - perhaps, as my hypothesis goes, to be more durable than the physical artifacts they are recorded on.
This site will try to discuss only what is worthy of the attention of others - weighed against the priceless cost of time, which can never be saved, only invested. Some topics I invite others to post on to begin this experiment are your thoughts on what we will leave for our children, and how the future isn't what it used to be anymore.
